For the advanced interface, let the users choose relevant toolbars and features. Also, improve interface response times. i have a very good spec pc (Windows 7 / 4gb ram) and it runs rather slowly. The toolbar idea is because on laptops and netbooks - because they have smaller screens, means that the toolbars clutter up the GUI and leave little room for a bigger canvas.
